School celebrates the 75th Independence Day in a grand manner.

SBOA Public Sr. Sec School makes the 75th Independence Day of our Nation a memorable one. Honourable MP Shri Hibi Eden was the Chief Guest for the Independence Day celebration in the school campus. He hoisted the National flag and released a special Independence day Souvenir consisting of 75 creative work of students including articles, poetries, Essays etc. Shri Hibi Eden also distributed prizes to the winners of the Interschool competitions conducted by SBOA in connection with the 75th Independence Day. The honourable MP in his address praised the students of SBOA for making masks and distributing it to the health workers and reminded the children about the importance of growing up as patriotic citizens of the Nation. The School Correspondent, Shri Paul D Prabhakar, Principal, Sreekala Karunakaran, AHM Priya Menon, KG Superintendent, Audrey Isaac, PTA President, Pradeep along with some students and Teachers participated in the Independence Day Program

Children Offer support to needy

The Interact Club team of SBOA Public (Sr.Sec) School, S.Chittoor, Kochi, under the guidance of School Coordinator Jayasree Suresh has always endeavored to reach out to those living in challenging situations. When the students came to know of Ashokan who has been bedridden for 20 years, they decided to lend him a hand. In association with the Rotary club of Cochin North, they bought a wheel chair for him. Ashokan can now get up from the bed with some help and expressed his desire to earn a living selling lottery tickets. This initiative by the school and the Rotary proved boon for him as he can now step out of the confines of his home and lead a respectable life.

Best Cadet Award at RDC 2019

Sgt. Tejasree Praveen received the Best Cadet Award from the chief of the Southern Naval Command Vice Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla at RDC 2019.

Shramadhan on Gandhi Jayanthi

The pandemic did not stop the eco club of sboa from doing their bit for the Mother Earth. This year on Gandhi Jayanthi the staff of SBOA cleaned the area in front of the school and planted few tree saplings. To initiate vegetable cultivation for the upcoming onam, seeda were distributed to students of class 10.

Yoga Day Celebrated at SBOA School

SBOA Public school, Ernakulam organised a virtual celebration on International Day of Yoga June 21 2021. The virtual celebration was led by the school yoga instructor Mrs Kavitha T P. Around 170 students from class 9 and the NCC Airforce wing cadets participated with their class teachers, PT teachers, Librarian and the Associate NCC officer.

Yoga has gained more importance in this corona virus pandemic and accordingly, the theme 2021 'yoga for well-being' was spread among the students.

Yoga session was held for classes 1 to 12 at 8: 30 AM by their respective class teachers. A video was prepared and circulated among all the class groups to spread the importance of yoga.

Reading Day observed at SBOA School

Reading day celebration virtually! Ms Rajashree Praveen an ex SBOAan inspired students to fall in love with reading. She elaborated on how reading enabled her to enrich her vocabulary and strengthen her communication skills. She suggested interesting books for children to read. May every day be a reading day for the students of SBOA!!

The session ended with students sharing their reading experiences through speeches and poems. Th students imbibed the message- make every day a Reading Day
