The School was started in 1984 by the state bank of India Officers Association Educational Trust, Chennai with the objective of providing quality education. It started functioning in a rented building, with strength of 75 pupils and 8 staff members. It has grown considerably in the past 27 years and has now pucca infrastructure with all amenities and facilities to fulfill its mission. It has a strength of 1949 pupils and 98 staff members now.

The institution is situated just 5 kilometres away from the city of Kochi, behind Sree Krishna Swami Temple , on the Chittoor Road . It is located in a serene calm campus at the bank of Cochin backwaters in an area of 5.6 acres with large grounds for sports facilities
